I changed the layout again and added a few more plants. I removed the Riccia and the Wisteria. The Riccia was very messy and the Wisteria grew like a weed.
I added the following new plants -
The fish seem to be happy and the four Platy fry that I put in the floating bottle container are growing well. Last couple of weeks the evening sun shines directly into the tank for roughly one hour. It shows how poor the inbuilt light is as the plants look so much better in the extra light. However the direct light has caused a green algae boom. The water is not clear anymore and the glass and the plant leaves are covered with algae as well. I have done partial water changes and introduced the Ambulia which should take up nutrients quicker and help fight the algae. I have made sure that there is no direct light for the next few days. Lets see i this helps to get rid of the algae.
I had introduced 4 cherry red shrimps to see if they help clean the surface algae along with the Mystery Snail and the Bristlenose. However, they turned into an expensive snack for the Blue Rams and the Corys.
Update: In a week I now have crystal clear water. So no direct sunlight and competing fast growing plants helped control green water algae.
Here are a couple of new snaps -
